Whether you're a seasoned bourbon connoisseur or just starting your journey, join us in the pursuit of that elusive bottle. We're here to provide you with the latest insights, tips, and maybe even a good laugh or two. Because in the end, it's not just about the bourbon – it's about the adventure to collect and share it.
What is a Tater? It's a rare and unopened bottle of desirable Whiskey or Bourbon, it's typically used in a derogatory way, either referring to someone who collects to put the bottle on the shelf, or post pictures on social media of their finds - if you like that aspect of the hobby, great for you. For us the name of the site is a bit of snark, we are not the type to collect Whiskey just to have an unopened bottle, but rather to share and enjoy. If we land an ultra rare bottle ,we might hold onto it for a special occasion, but it's getting opened, not left on ths shelf. We do not sell, offer or facilitate trades here, there are plenty of ways to do that. We made the site because what we found missing was a consolidated place to find information about how to find allocated bottles, the way states distributed their alcohol, lotteries/raffles, and specific data about when each local store might have product.

The Whiskey Shipment Tracker
We've made this website to help Bourbon collectors score some drops, without having to visit every ABC store every day. We're starting in North Carolina.
The Whiskey Shipment Tracker: This list is updated every hour based on the published NC State ABC Warehouse inventory. If it shows a store shipment, that means cases of that liquor have left the state warehouse. If you see inventory at the warehouse, they have it, they just haven't sent it anywhere yet. Whether it's being distributed to individual stores in smaller municipalities or shipped to a local distribution warehouse, when to anticipate product availability is the key.
The Tater Map
Our next step involves you - We are working on The Tater Map, which focuses on Mecklenburg and the surrounding counties. It allows you and other collectors to log when you've seen a bottle at a store, so others can head there and score as well. Over time, we'll add more features to this, please send us your suggestions and feedback!

Mecklenburg Store Picks - We're pulling this data together into one place for you, from the clunky Mecklenburg inventory system, and into a consolidated, searchable page that shows you the price and store availability for the Mecklenburg store picks. Please note that the data is not real-time; it's updated daily and depends on the data reported by the county or observed by our team in the stores.

We've compiled a comprehensive list of ABC stores, complete with our notes on their inventory, staff recommendations, and our best data on when they received their latest shipment deliveries.
